A backyard staple built from a beef and turkey blend worked with Garlic Olive Oil, topped with a whipped goat cheese spread and onions marinated in Traditional Balsamic Vinegar. Fresh avocado and spinach round it out.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 2 garlic cloves, finely grated
- 1 tablespoon Garlic Olive Oil
- 2½ teaspoons kosher salt
- Ground black pepper
- 8 ounces goat cheese
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 large red onion, sliced into rounds
- 3 tablespoons Olive Amelia Traditional Balsamic Vinegar
- 12 slider buns
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 2 cups fresh spinach, washed
Instructions:
- Preheat a grill or cast iron skillet to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, marinate the onions in the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar. Let sit for at least an hour, until the onions turn purple-red.
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, ground turkey, garlic, Garlic Olive Oil, kosher salt, and pepper. Form into 12 small patties and set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine the goat cheese and mayonnaise until smooth. Set aside.
- Grill the patties until golden and cooked through, about 3 minutes per side. Toast the buns on the grill for 15 seconds.
- Spread the goat cheese mixture on the bun tops, then add the patties, marinated onions, avocado, and spinach. Optional: sauté the onions and add tomatoes.
